Community Media Day is an annual celebration of voices that brings awareness to the importance of free speech and accessible media for all.

Community Media Day was founded in Brooklyn, New York but is celebrated around the world by those who want to ensure that the media landscape remains inclusive for all producers and artists, across all forms of media.

Community Media Day is October 20, which occurs during Free Speech Week.    We want to encourage your organization to celebrate that day, or during the week.   We’ll even give you examples of how other organizations celebrate.

Community Media Day has received an overwhelmingly beautiful outpouring of support from all across the country from fellow community media crusaders and the Community Media Day Team would just like to acknowledge all of their time, hard work, dedication, and commitment.
